Desirable vintage glossy 9 x 11.5 close-up photo of Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes, signed in fountain pen, “Sincerely, Basil Rathbone.” In good condition, with trimmed edges, several small edge tears, scattered creases to background and facial area, a few lightly affecting signature, and mounting remnants to reverse. Rathbone, while fairly obtainable in most forms, is strangely almost nonexistent in signed photos as Sherlock Holmes.
