George Weiss typed letter signed to Joe Devine dated 11 July 1935 on Newark International Baseball Club letterhead. Weiss signs: ''George Weiss''. Weiss, then New York Yankees' farm system director, writes to Yankee scout Devine about a request for healthcare from employee Bud Randell, with the original correspondence attached. The letter reads in part: ''...I don't like to get into the habit of these things...However, of course, we want the goy in good health if possible...'' Two-page 8.5'' x 11'' letter shows minor toning, else very good.
