1938 Mordecai Brown Signed Government Postcard. "That old paw served me pretty well in its time," Brown once said of the injured hand that earned him the "Three Finger" nickname. "It gave me a firmer grip on the ball, so I could spin it over the hump. It gave me a greater dip." Here we find a scarce and marvelously rendered 10/10 example of his autograph, to which he added the simple, charming notation, "A Cub." March 5, 1938 postmark is from Brown's hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana. Evidence of scrapbook removal on verso does not affect autographed side in the slightest. LOA from PSA/DNA.
