One of the earliest versions of Barbie, this is a sought-after collector's item today! This one is "loose" with no original box but does come with her original black and white striped bathing suit. This doll has lightened in color a bit over the years. She has brown eyeliner, and she's got the "crayon" smell characteristic of the early versions. She's solid, not hollow like later versions, and unlike later versions, her ears have not turned green. She has her original hairstyle, though the original hairband is gone except for a couple of very tiny pieces. She has gently curved dark brows and red lipstick. Faint traces of her red nostril dots are present. Her nose is not "nipped." There are no cracks anywhere, but a small dent is missing from the back of her right arm. Her head does turn from side to side. Her "backside" has the number 115 and says "Barbie TM Pats. Pend.(c) MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc."
