Two leaf rear sight with the front sight removed (slot not filled) on the damascus barrel. Lock is engraved with a tiger stalking its prey
and marked "Barber & Son Exeter". Fish sculpted hammer with the side featuring a scroll engraving incorporating a stag head. Scroll engraving extended to breech plug and upper tang with tiger head and two gold inlaid bands also on breech plug. A lion is engraved on the trigger guard and a stag on the buttplate tang. Hammer safety and platinum vent plugs. High gloss pistol grip half stock with checkering on the grip area, "1848" stamped on the underside and fitted with a flat iron buttplate. Complete with an iron tipped ebony ramrod.

Condition: Fine. A protective lacquer has been applied to the metal surfaces with the barrel retaining 60% of the damascus pattern. The stock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches with most of the varnish remaining. Overall the checkering remains crisp. Mechanically excellent.
