Oscar-nominated American actress (1910–1980) best remembered for her role as Scarlett O’Hara’s mother in Gone with the Wind. Scarce vintage glossy 8 x 10 Columbia Pictures publicity photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Barbara O’Neil, Greetings to you Saul.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s ink date notation of January 31, 1943, the date the signature was acquired. In very good condition, with moderate rippling above signature and inscription into facial area, a few light surface creases, and some light rubbing to emulsion.
