An awesome color proof on Maryland and not from the ABN sale. This TC proof has a full red tint and deeper red counters. At the lower left is a slave, at the top center a surveyor's scene and to the left of that is Charles Carroll of Carrollton. Splendid eye appeal and great rarity. Approaching Rarity 7. A miniscule upper right corner nick, otherwise nearly Choice Uncirculated, reverse mounting remnants on the card." Estimated there at $800-1200, it realized $1792.
