Ballard model 6-1/2 ‘Off-hand’ target rifle, finely Ulrich-style engraved, 30” barrel, .32-40 caliber, engraved barrel flats in muzzle as typically found in Rigby barrels. Blue and case hardened finish. Select checkered English walnut stocks, Swiss butt, serial number “21378” with matching barrel. The rifle remains in fine to excellent original condition, approx. 95-98% blue on the barrel, just starting to age and tone slightly. 80-90% case hardening, starting to mute and drift to silver with still some very visible rainbow hues, the stocks are very good plus with sharp checkering, minor marks, a few scratches, and normal aging. The original tang sight shows most of the original finish. The action is tight, the bore is excellent. The engraving is of exceptionally high quality and shows a portrait of a bear on the left and a leaping stag on the right. Est.: $6,500-$13,000
