Ballard Carbine by Ball and Williams, .44 cal., 22” half round/half octagon barrel, brown patina, wood stocks, #3356, in overall good condition showing a dark patina on metal surfaces with scattered areas of pitting, crisp action, lightly visible maker markings on breech end of barrel, matching serial numbers on barrel and receiver, bore may clean to good, fore stock is good, butt stock is fair to good with several old cracks, scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage and a couple old chip repairs at the top front corners of the front of the butt stock at the intersection with the top tang; sling swivels remain with gun; shell ejector is still operational.
