Howard Hawks put his immeasurable talents as a director of screwball comedies to full use in this Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder script about a professor who's writing a dictionary of American slang - and uses Barbara Stanwyck as his eloquent subject. To say that this one is a classic is an understatement. The poster was linen-backed to flatten out a few very minor wrinkles. There were also some very fine staple marks around the edges.
