Fixed sights on a barrel marked "DREPPERD. / LANCASTER" on the top flat. The lock plate is marked "BAKER & MOSS". In the book AMERICAN GUNSMITHS, noted firearms expert Frank Sellers lists Baker & Moss from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and an importer of percussion pistols, with several Drepperds listed from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The forend cap, ramrod pipes, trigger guard, ornate engraved patch box, engraved side plate, and buttplate are brass. Double set triggers with a full length stock with a checkered pattern on the wrist and three stock wedges.

Condition: Very good as professionally reconverted to flintlock. The barrel has a smooth dark brown patina with streaks of applied artificial brown. The hammer and lock plate have a smooth brown gray patina with some mild pitting on the lock. The brass is fine. There is a repaired chip (left side) and a repaired crack (right side) on the forearm, otherwise the stock is fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
