(RKO, 1935) Gelatin silver matte borderless double-weight 15 x 20 in. (image size 10 ½ x 13 ¼ in.) exhibition print (custom mounted onto 4-ply textured mount board) of Helen Gahagan as “She who must be obeyed” being prepared by her minions for the ceremony by flames which renews her eternal youth and beauty. Somewhere in this crowd is native-American and Olympic champion Jim Thorpe, who played her captain of the guard. Hand-printed by the photographer and specially mounted for exhibition, and signed “Ernest A Bachrach” on mount recto lower right. Print is excellent, with very minor toning to mount.
