<td width="100%">
This is a cotton stuffed doll that originally had printed features made by Mothers' Congress Doll Co., Philadelphia, PA under patent granted to Madge L. Mead in 1900. This doll has been well loved and someone has put new arms on her. The great thing is that the stamped marking is very clear. The date only shows Pat Nov. but that's fine. Her features are almost nonexistent. She has the printed black shoes and there are wears and the cotton is exposed in places. I've just left the old piece of lace around the neck but the head is originally attached, no extra stitching so the lace is not hiding anything. On the very top of the head is a hold and you can see the cotton. I have included a picture. This doll is really for the person who wants the have an example of a 1900 doll with the Mothers' Congress marking. There is a picture of another Baby Stuart in The Art of Dolls 1700-1940 by Madeline Osborne Merrill on page 416. She doesn't have any bad smells and she's from a smoke free environment. If you can love her, please bid. Buyer to pay $15 for shipping, insurance, and handling.Thanks for viewing.
