Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Ruth taking a practice swing while clad in his Yankee pinstripes, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To a Nurse that was wonderful to me for many months, Muriel Holland, from Babe Ruth 7-14-47.” Scattered creases, surface marks, and impressions, and some light irregular ink adhesion to a few letters of Ruth’s signature, otherwise very good condition. Holland was Ruth’s personal nurse from January to July of 1947. A touching inscription from the ‘Sultan of Swat’ a little more than a year before succumbing to cancer. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
