<B>Babe Ruth Farewell Photograph by Nat Fein.</B></I> Perhaps the most famous baseball photograph of all time, this Pulitzer Prize-winning work by famed lensman Nat Fein captures the melancholy scene of a dying Ruth saluting the Yankee Stadium crowd one last time from the infield dirt where he became immortal. Years afterwards, Fein would create a limited edition of 500 prints from the original negative, and this is number 250 of that edition. Six decades after the on June 13, 1948 event, the image still has the same haunting effect. Fein's stamp is on verso.
