"BUTTERFLY" TABLE.
New England,18th century, maple with some curl and pine secondary wood. Old finish that shows traces of red paint. Good detail and a small size. Turned splayed legs with mortised and pinned stretcher and apron, shaped butterfly leaf supports, drawer with early wide dovetailing and oval top. Rosehead nails and original wrought iron butterfly hinges. 26 1/2"h, top opens to 28 1/2" x 38".
