Delightful Bunnykins double-handle baby cup.

In 1934 Barbara Vernon Bailey created the first Bunnykins
design for her father, Cuthbert Bailey, managing director of
Royal Doulton. Sister Mary Barbara, an Augustinian nun,
continued designing until 1952. She was succeeded by Hubert
Light (who designed the border and backstamp) and then Walter
Hayward.

This cup shows the Bunnykins in winter. On one side the
bunnies and their friends are sledding. On the other
a bunny and a mouse throw snowballs at a snowman (who looks
hurt at being picked on). Six rabbits circle the top.

Cup measures 5-1/4 inches handle-to-handle, 3-1/2
diameter, 3 tall.

Very good used condition. No chips, cracks or other
damage aside from light wear.

Circa 1950s
Made by Royal Doulton, in England.

Please see our GoAntiques inventory for more Bunnykins
nursery items, as well as fine antiques of all kinds.
