Pair of standing wooden Buddhist Monks or Devotees with hands pressed together in the Namaskar Mudra (traditional gesture of Prayer and now blessing). Each is about 5-1/2" tall with one retaining its octagonal wood stand (early style) above which is a bit of insect eating of the robe. TANG Dynasty and rare to have survived in any tomb environment, but only possible in the dry North or West of China. Previous owner does not remember any location provenance. Spiritually evocative.
