BSA Martini-International MK II Single Shot Rifle, #UE333, .22 LR cal., 29'' free-floating barrel, blue finish, shooter customized thumbhole pistol-grip cheekpiece buttstock, palmrest base on forend, Parker-Hale rear sight with adjustable aperture; Parker-Hale PH1 globe front sight. British proofmarks to right side of frame and barrel near muzzle. Dating from the early to mid-1950s. It is interesting to note that in a March 1959 issue of Guns Magazine under Favorite Guns, Al Freeland states that the BSA Martini-International MK II is his favorite rifle, as it is the only one he can consistently group tightly with in the 50-yard Small Bore Match at Camp Perry. Condition is very good to fine retaining approx. 85%-90% original blue which has thinned and toned in areas. Stock with moderate to heavy thinning of varnish; repair to top of cheekpiece. Action is tight, trigger is crisp and light, bore is bright. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)
