BSA Henry's Patent Falling Block Rifle
Blade front and ladder rear sights on a barrel marked "ALEX HENRY EDINBURGH PATENT 1532 411" at the breech. The left side of the barrel has three British proofs and the number "52", with an additional proof on the receiver. The left side of the casehardened falling block action is marked "BSA CO / HENRY'S PATENT" above the serial number. Half length straight grip stock with a flat iron buttplate. The buttstock is stamped "2247 / AH" near the lower tang and 1869 dated BSA cartouche on the buttstock (left side).

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 75% original blue finish with some minor thinning with some scattered minor pitting (mostly near the breech) and spotting The receiver, lockplate and lever have a mottled gray patina with a dark patina on the hammer and buttplate. The buttplate has some minor oxidation. The very good wood has some minor dings and scratches and a few hairline cracks. "120P / 290B" is lightly marked on the right side of the forearm.
