BRUSSELMANS, Jan.- Lettre autogr. signée à Jan Theunissen. Bodeghem St Martin, s.d. 2 p. in-12° avec dessin sur 1/2 page, signée, sur papier quadrillé (plis vert. et horiz., ce dernier étant renforcé au pap. collant).
Il souhaitait se rendre chez son correspondant mais "les blés m'ont retenus et j'ai fait cinq toiles dont je suis très content (c'est assez rare !)". Il lui demande de confectionner le châssis d'une toile qu'il viendra prendre "car il y a quelques petites retouches à faire sur les bords et je suis mieux outilier [sic] chez moi pour la mettre en état et ensuite vous l'apportez en bon ordre". Il ajoute la photo envoyée par Theunissen de la toile en question et le dessin de son montage sur ledit châssis.
Joint (ens. 3 pièces) : carte postale en néerlandais adressée au même, Bruxelles [Dilbeek], 16 mars 1935 (cachet de la poste) : il ne peut se rendre chez Theunissen ce dimanche mais il l'attend un de ces jours "met u 500 paarden is dat toch geen spel".-- carte de visite de l'artiste accompagnée des voeux autographes en néerl. de fin d'année pour 1936.

After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 100 (EUR) will be send by registered post.
Payment Details:
Payment will be made in Belgian Francs. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 200 (EUR) or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Ero's (EUR)
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 1250 EUR
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
