<B>[Broadside] $50 Reward Notice for the Return of a Fugitive Slave in Falls County, Texas</B></I>. Measuring 9" x 6", this fascinating reward poster reads, in full: <I>"$50 REWARD. $50. I will pay the above reward for Perry Stroud, a black negro, about 24 years old, six feet two or three inches high, rather slothful in his movements; has a little education - can read and write his name; has a scar on top side of right hand; formerly lived in Falls County. He ran off about the 12th of last June. The above reward will be paid for his arrest and delivery inside of any jail in Texas or elsewhere. For further information address S. R. MOSS, Sutton, Texas, or T. B. JONES, Sheriff, Fraklin [</B></I>sic<I>], Texas</B></I>." The document shows three vertical folds; the top of the document shows four small crescent-shaped chips, mild paper loss to the top left, and mild separation at the top along the fold lines. The bottom right corner has a small bump. The broadside has been professionally backed in silk, minimizing the minor imperfections described above, and forestalling any further condition problems as well.
