Cal 1.25". NSN. 31 1/2" Overall. Bbl. 16 1/4" 2 stage oct. to rnd. brass flaring to 1 1/4" at muzzle, commercial London proofs & makers cartouche on left breech. There were 3 generations of William Brander making firearms for over 100 years, the last in 1750. Lock is marked forward of cock “W. Brander” in script. There are 2 lg. brands on right side of buttstock “C. M” & “AGF”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: collector notes. CONDITION: good overall, appears original & complete. Lock has mottled gray iron patina, the maker’s mark has been freshened, brass has toned to a medium mustard patina, stock is sound w/ old staple repair to about a 3" chip on right side at muzzle. Mechanically functional w/ smooth clear bore. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of John "Tim" Breth Jr. (01-17841/JS). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
