Lot of 2 albumen photographs, 11 x 14.75" and 11 x 14.5" mounted on larger board, one on Brady's printed "Incidents of the War" mount and titled "71st Regiment NY. Navy Yard, Washington, D.C" with an 1861 copyright line. This image, probably taken in the fall of 1861 before the real horrors of the war began, shows the senior officers of the 71st, casually posed on a porch of a brick house. An out-of-focus iron fence makes an interesting pattern in the foreground of the image. First image EXC, second toned, with a large glue spot in lower right.
