This is a very sturdy dark brown leather belt-attaching utensil kit, complete with utensils. The leather is stitched and fastened for extra durability at the opening edges with rivets, and closes with a metal snap embossed with the Boy Scout insignia. Inside is: a folding fork that extends to about 5.5 inches, stamped Geo. Schrade Knife Co. Inc., Pat. 1-27-42, B'Port, Conn, USA; a folding sharp stainless steel knife that extends to 5.75 inches also made by Geo. Schrade Knife Co., Pat. 1-27-42, B'Port, CT., with a red plastic inset blade (or finger!) protector and can opener at the base of the blade; and a small (4.25 inch) Allegheny Stainless Steel spoon. Both knife and fork fold into their handles. This set is in excellent condition but for a small tear in the leather on the back just above each rivet, another very small split in the leather on the back edge near the top, and one of the slits for feeding into a belt has been cut off (see photo). Please also see my Boy Scout whetstone in case for sale!
