BONNIE AND CLYDE

40" x 60" Southwestern Premiere
Near Mint Folded
Warner Bros., 1967

This rare 59.5" x 39" poster, printed for the film's Southwestern Premiere, features a blank space where the playdates of the film's showing would be handwritten by the exhibitor. It showcases a distinctive design with a vintage sepia-toned photograph taken by a Kodak camera, portraying cast members Gene Hackman, Estelle Parsons, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Michael J. Pollard as "The Barrow Gang," flaunting their firepower beside their car. Issued folded, this specimen seems to be in excellent, unused condition, with only minor edge wear and some separation at the folds.

"Bonnie and Clyde" emerged as a pioneering film in its era, showcasing an exceptionally violent narrative that challenged the cinematic norms of 1967. It stood as one of the first films, if not the inaugural one, to portray violence in such an unfiltered and realistic fashion, marking a significant shift from conventional cinematic representations.
