BONGO SHOULDER MOUNT
Tragelaphus euyceros euryceros
The bongo is the most coveted trophy in all of Africa. They are very expensive to hunt and extremely difficult to find. In fact most hunters spend $30,000 to $50,000 to hunt for one, and still return home disappointed. Dogs are often used and much scouting is required; they live in the deepest darkest jungles of Central Africa and do not come out to open places with the exception of watering or coming to a salt lick. This particular mount is a large mature male. The females also have beautiful spiraling horns with great ivory tips. An older mount that has been professionally restored, this example is in good condition and comes out from the wall to the tip of the nose 33 inches. It is 52 inches high and 26 inches wide, with horns 31 x 30? inches long, and 10½ inches around the base of each.

Shipping: Requires 3rd Party Shipping (view shipping information)
