BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer T (1630s). S-P26; KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 26.55 grams. Interesting piece struck on a crude planchet with several edge-cracks yet with a fair amount of detail including a full shield (doubled) and clear denomination 8, complete and doubled cross, first two digits of date visible in legend, surfaces a bit bright from light cleaning. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
