BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1651 (modern 5) E, with crowned-L countermark on cross, Mastalir Plate. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-1491. 26.48 grams. Full date with very bold 5 in modern style outside of full but slightly doubled cross with nearly full countermark in center, the shield also full but doubled with full king's name and ordinal in legend, solid and corrosion-free but with some greenish oxidation within the light golden toning, tiny edge-split.
