A Montana native, Scriver was a world famous sculptor whose
works emphasized the American West. He was a member of the
National Sculpture Society and Cowboy Artists of America. Scriver
created a statue of the late Bill Linderman for the Cowboy Hall of
Fame, and a statue of Lewis and Clark for both Fort Benton and
Great Falls, Montana. He created the heroic-size statue of Charles
M. Russel and the commemorative bronze panels that depict key
episodes of Russell's life for the C.M.Russell Museum.
