Bob Barlow, a Wyoming native, is
the son of a pioneer ranching family. His
love of outdoor painting takes him to
many parts of the world. Travels abroad
include Prague, Czech Republic, where he
spent several months a year since 1991.
Other favorite painting places are East
Africa, the Caribbean, Ireland, Russia,
the canyons of the Southwest, and the
Canadian Rockies. The landscapes of
Wyoming and Montana continue to
inspire Barlow's work, particularly, the
Big Horn Mountains, The Beartooth
Range and Glacier Park. Barlow's work
on location every August at Crow Fair,
Crow Agency, Montana is becoming well
known. He attended the Art Institute of
Chicago and the University of Wyoming
where he has a business degree. Barlow
is featured in Southwest Art Magazine,
May 1988; Southwest Art Magazine,
August 1996; cover article in American
Artist Magazine, June 2000; and the Big
Sky Journal, winter issue, 2000.
