WITH ZEISS VARIABLE SCOPE. Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4" / 7x65R. S# 56169. Bbls. monobloc 25" are fitted with claw scope bases, flip over rear and silver bead front sights in full length matted rib. Top of rib is engraved “FREDERICK VILH HEYM”. Sides of bbls. are marked with steel type and with “MADE IN W-GERMANY”. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped with Munich Nitro proofs for 12 Ga., 2 3/4" and 7x65 R rifle cartridge. Coin finished notchback blitz double Kirsten action features nonautomatic safety, pin cocking indicators and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with large open shaded scroll surrounding game scenes on sides with roebuck on left and fox on right. Bottom of action is engraved with maker’s name. Steel trigger guard is engraved with scroll on bow. Capped pistol grip buttstock of plain European walnut measures 14 1/4" over ribbed hard rubber buttplate and features right hand shadowline cheekpiece, point pattern checkering and sling loop. Matching one piece forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: SHOTGUN BBL: Bore Diameter: .722". Restriction: .017" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: .032". STOCK: DAH: 2 15/16". DAC: 1 3/4". LOP: 14 1/4". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: very good to fine. Bbls. retaining about 70% original blue with some high edge wear, fading and freckling. Action retains most of its coin finish with evidence of cleaning around bottom and some darkening on sides. Top also shows some freckling. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish with a considerable number of light marks and dings. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good. Scope shows many scuffs and marks as well as silvering in its exterior lacquer. Optically fine. (22-4963/MGM). MODERN. $1,500-2,000.
