BILL OF SALE FOR 15 VIRGINIA SLAVES. Quarto, 1p, Pittsylvania County, Virginia, June, 1825. Bill of sale for 15 slaves sold by George Boyd to Thomas Williams. Includes John and Ralph, listed as blacksmiths, two other men, Jack and Sqires, one Negro woman, Betty, and her four children -- Emily, Barbary, James, & Joshua, one Negro woman, Nancy, and her five children -- Randolph, Rhoda, Robbin, Bob & Nancy. Boyd twice notes that he assigns to Williams the "future increase" of the females. An uncommon bill, attesting to the value of both blacksmiths and women slaves. Usual folds, else EXC.
