FIRST EDITION THUS, pp (2), viii, (862), 4to, contemporary calf, gilt ruled spine, with label, gilt : small, discreet stamp in a few places, still a strongly bound & attractive copy.The first edition edited by Thomas Morell (later editions appearing in 1778 and 1790), best remembered for his own Lexicon Graeco-Prosodiacum (first published 1762). Morell here includes the earlier refinements of both Samuel Patrick and J. A. Ernest, themselves editors of Hederich's work in 1727 and 1754.
