BERLIN, IRVING
(1888 - 1989) American songwriter who penned over 1,000 tunes including "God Bless America" and There's No Business Like Show Business". An exceptional Berlin item, a folio-sized leatherbound compilation of his songs from the 1935 film "Top Hat" which includes the music and lyrics for the songs "Cheek to Cheek", "Isn't This a Lovely Day?", "The Piccolino", "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails", and "No Strings". Boldly inscribed on the front flyleaf: "To Eddie Rubin with best wishes from Irving Berlin". Rubin was a Hollywood publicity agent. Binding a tad loose, otherwise very good to fine condition.
