Colonial Notes Printed by B. Franklin
Pleasing Circulated Benjamin Franklin Note Printed in 1759
Delaware. June 1, 1759. Twenty Shillings. “British Lion” vignette, Printed by “B. FRANKLIN” Issue. Conservation. Very Fine.
Fr. DE-68. This lovely circulated French & Indian War era note has a deft sealed centerfold split and a very clean, even well printed appearance. “Printed by B. Franklin and David Hall,” imprint on the back is bold and clear, with a sharp excellent Lion vignette at bottom. This note is well centered on both its face and back, having a strong “Nature print” shown on the reverse. All three signatures are clear, though worn. Overall, a nice note for Delaware Colonial currency collectors and of Benjamin Franklin imprints.
