A birthday book ... 1st edition, 15 chromolithograph colour plates, each month wihin distinctive col. border, crimson polished straight grain morocco over bevelled boards, monogram of Princess Beatrice surmounted by a coronet on the upper cover within a gilt panel, a.e.g., inner gilt dentelles, by Ramage, joints and edges a little rubbed, one entry under March 25, 4to., London: Smith, Elder, 1881
Note: Inscribed on one of the endpapers "To Sir John McNeill from Beatrice, Xmas 1882." The Princess has also signed it on the page for April 14, dating the inscription, Osborne Dec. 24th, 1882
