Please note that all bids placed through 3rd party platforms and not propstoreauction.com, will be subject to a buyer's expense of 5%.
A costume continuity binder from the production of Tim Burton's superhero film Batman. Continuity binders are used as a detailed reference to assist the wardrobe department on set, with this folder used by Academy Award-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood.

Presented in a red binder, the lot contains a comprehensive insight into the various outfits worn by each character in every scene.

The folder consists primarily of costume breakdown sheets, which display the actor, character name, scene number, shooting dates on which the costume was worn, and a brief costume description. The lower half of the sheets feature a list of different garments, with handwritten notes detailing aspects of the outfits, such as colours, embellishments and accessories.

Two hundred and seventy-seven Polaroid photographs are adhered to their corresponding pages, which show principal, supporting and background cast members. The photos include Batman (Michael Keaton) in his iconic Batsuit and The Joker's (Jack Nicholson) array of vibrant outfits.

Separated revised script pages feature throughout and have been placed with their corresponding costume breakdown sheets. Small orange dividers displaying handwritten numbers are adhered to some of the script pages. The paperwork displays signs of production use, including minor edge wear and dirt marks, and several of the pages have become stuck together over time. A few of the Polaroids have become loose within the folder. Due to the depth and breadth of its content, bidders are encouraged to enquire for further details. Dimensions: 31.5 cm x 29 cm x 11 cm (12 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 4 1/4")
