King’s stage-used 1992 Gibson ‘Lucille’ model solid body electric guitar, signed and inscribed on the body in silver ink, “To Paul & Irene, B. B. King.” Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Paul and Irene Zukoski, the recipients of the guitar. Letter reads, in part: “We are independent tour producers and own Front Row Productions, Inc. Front Row produced the B. B. King Music Festival tour for 15 years, from 1991 to 2005…B. B. King presented us with his Lucille guitar at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on August 14, 2003. That day there was a massive blackout in the Northeast and we were not sure if the show would go on. As luck would have it, the venue still had power…so the show still played…After he closed the show, he gave Paul the very same Lucille guitar he had just played on stage and which he had played on stage for years. After B. B. cooled down following the show…he thanked us for creating the long-running tour for him and then proceeded to sign the guitar.” Included is another letter of provenance from the tour’s stage manager who witnessed the exchange. Also accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, as well as three tour passes from the festivals, one signed in black felt tip by King and encapsulated in a plastic PSA/DNA authentication holder. In fine condition.
