<B>Ayn Rand: Signed <I>The Fountainhead</B></I></B></I> <B>with a Typed Letter Signed and a Signed Photo</B></I> (Indianapolis New York: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1943), later printing, 754 pages, red cloth with gilt titles, 8vo (5.5" x 8.25"), dust jacket. Inscribed and signed "<I>To David Shikes - with sincere appreciation of your interest and 'salesmanship' - Cordially - Ayn Rand 4/18/65</B></I>" on the front free endpaper. The book is in good condition, with noticeable wear to the boards, edges, corners, and spine ends. Both inner hinges have been strengthened with archival tape, and the textblock shows some fading. Still, an early printing of Ayn Rand's classic novel signed by her. Accompanying the book is a TLS and a signed photo, both signed to the owner of the book. Both the letter and the photo are in excellent condition.
