<B>Avons</B></I> <B><I>Hull Records Cordially Invite You To Meet The Avons</B></I></B></I> <B>LP (Hull 1000, 1960).</B></I> The New Jersey doo-wop had an ardent, loyal following in the '50s, which ultimately led to their signing by the pre-eminent doo-wop label, Hull Records (the Heartbeats, Shep & the Limelites). Unfortunately, the group never charted nationally, although they maintained their popularity locally well into the '60s. Decades later, many have discovered them and their rare album from 1961. You probably won't find a nicer copy of the record; the cover does have minor wear at the top right corner.
