<B>Aviatrix Blanche Stuart Scott Typed Letter Signed</B></I> One page, 8.5β x 10β, on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base letterhead, January 24, 1955, to William Wedge, Lansing, Michigan, with original mailing envelope. Blanch Scott, also known as Betty Scott, is credited as the first women to fly solo in the United States. In 1954 she started working for the United States Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson, helping to acquire aviation memorabilia.
