<B>Ava Gardner Owned China Pieces.</B></I> A set of five pieces, from different manufacturers, all in creamy white tones with delicate gold accents. Includes an eggshell-toned serving bowl, leaf-shaped, trimmed with gold on the rim and stem. With the gold Lenox stamp on the base, the bowl measures 5" wide by 7.5" long, with a 1.5" depth. Also included is a bone china olive tray made by Hammersly & Co., measuring 2" wide, 8.5" long, and 1" high, trimmed with gold along the rim and decorated with gold-toned flowers along interior. A white china handled basket is also included with this lot; with gold heavily lining the rim and delicate pink roses adorning the interior, it measures 4" wide, 8" long, and 1" deep, and has the IPF Germany stamp on base. Also included is a hand-painted decorative bowl, made in Italy (unmarked except for "Italy" in the artist's hand at base), and trimmed with gold along rim, along base, and on decorative handles. The bowl is adorned with grapes in high relief, and has both a height and diameter of 4.5" -- a beautifully symmetrical example of Ava's good taste. A scalloped shell-shaped bowl rounds out the group, lined with gold along the rim, and generously decorated with gold highlights along the raised leaf motif along edge, this stunning little bowl measures 5" wide, 6" long, and 1" deep, and has W/G stamped on base.
