<B>Autographs of James Earle Fraser and Laura Gardin Fraser.</B></I> James Earle Fraser has signed thick yellow paper as "Sincerely yours E Fraser." Laura Gardin Fraser has separately signed thick blue paper as "Thank you for wishing to have my signature - Laura Gardin Fraser." Her autograph is considered rarer than that of her husband, although he is better known, as the designer of the Buffalo nickel. Both sculptors designed the Oregon Trail commemorative half, and Laura Gardin Fraser's designs were nearly used for the 1932 Washington quarter. They were used instead on the 1999 George Washington five dollar piece. James Earle Fraser's signature has slightly faded.
