<p>Early American History Auctions, Inc. (EAHA) announces the release of the catalog for its August 23, 2003 Mail Bid Sale, consisting of 1,226 lots of Autographs, Coins, Currency, Civil War material, Prints, Maps, and other authentic, historic Americana with a total value of over $1,000,000.

<p>AUTOGRAPHS: Highlights of the Autograph section include an 1817 Autograph Letter Signed by John Quincy Adams, also initialed by him in a postscript (Est. $10,000-$14,000).

<p>The highlight of the Colonial America section is a 1758 "New York Gazette" newspaper with a report from Col. George Washington and with a Halfpence Tax Stamp imprinted on the back page (Est. $4,500-$6,500).

<p>In the Revolutionary War section, highlights include a c. 1778 Broadside Poem "American Taxation" (Est. 4,500-$6,500).

<p>Highlighting the Civil War Broadsides section is an April 15, 1861 "Telegram-Extra" Newspaper Broadside reporting the surrender of Fort Sumter (Est. $3,500-$5,500).

<p>COINS AND CURRENCY: Highlights of the Colonial Currency section include an exceedingly rare Massachusetts 30 Shillings 1775 "Sword In Hand" note (Est. $10,000-$14,000).

<p>COLONIAL COINAGE: A number of important United States Colonial Coins will be offered, including a pleasing 1652 Massachusetts "Oak Tree" Shilling, Noe 1 in Very Fine or better (Est. $5,250-$5,750)

<p>In the regular U.S. Coins section, highlights include a 1793 "Chain" Cent graded Fine-12 by PCGS (Est. $10,000-$14,000) and a 1907 Liberty Head Nickel struck on a Cent Planchet (Est. 5,000-$8,000).
