<B>Autographed Pictures of Conrad Nagel, Robert Montgomery, and James Murray.</B></I> Three MGM stars get the full studio glamour treatment in this lot - Garbo leading man and Academy of Motion Pictures President Conrad Nagel, Screen Actors Guild President and World War II hero Robert Montgomery, and <I>The Crowd</B></I> star and Hollywood tragedy James Murray. There are two portraits of Montgomery, the same pose but with two different inscriptions. The autograph of Murray (who turned to alcohol at a young age and was found dead in the Hudson River in 1936) is especially rare. Photographer Ruth Harriet Louise's name is embossed on the lower margin of the Montgomery and Murray photos, with her MGM stamp on the verso. One of the Montgomery photos has a small 1" scratch on the right border near (but not touching) his signature - otherwise Excellent condition.
