Autograph Lord's Prayer By Wounded Civil War Veteran. One page, 6.75” x 8.75”, in ink. This document was transcribed by John A. Lehman, a member of Pennsylvania's “Bucktail Regiment”. Lehman was a member of Company G, comprised primarily of men from Elk County. Lehman writes that he lost his right arm during the Battle of “Anteetam” sic , September 17, 1862. Lehman was one of the nearly 10,000 Union soldiers wounded during the single-day battle. There are a few age stains to the paper and the usual fold creases present, but the ink is still bright, the handwriting legible and in very good condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
