Waterman albums were made by the L.E. Waterman Co. The purchasers of these albums were encouraged to acquire autographs, mount them into the album, and return it to the company as part of a contest. Includes: AMELIA EARHART (1898-1937), aviatrix; WALTER JOHNSON (1887-1946), Baseball HOF; AL JOLSON (1886-1950), singer; James Couzens (1972-1936), automobile manufacturer; Kate Smith (1909-86), singer; David Rubinoff (1897-1986), violinist; Francis Scott McBride (1872-1955), Anti-Saloon League; Richard Whitney, President of New York Stock Exchange; William Green (1873-1952), President of American Federation of Labor; Nellie Tayloe Ross (1876-1977), first woman Governor of a state (Wyoming); Ray Lyman Wilbur (1875-1949), Sec of Interior; Walter Huston (1884-1950) actor; Maurice Chevalier (1888-1972), singer; Jeanette MacDonald (1901-65), singer & actress; Daniel Frohman (1866-1940), theatrical manager; Reed Smoot (1862-1941), Mormon leader & U.S. Senator; Ossip Gabrilowitsch (1878-1936), Russian pianist; etc. All signatures are mounted in album, on both sides of the pages.
