Softcover autograph album, 6 x 4.75, signed inside in ink by more than 100 entertainers and athletes of the 1930s, many inscribed, most back to back, and most single page. Signers include: Boxer Jack Dempsey; actresses Elissa Landi, Betty Lawford, Lillian Gish, Ruth Gordon, Haila Stoddard, Wynn Murray, and Joan Bennett; actors Sam Jaffe, Paul Lukas, Gene Lockhart, and Sam Levene; musicians Henny Youngman and Al Goodman; entertainers Fred Allen, Ray Heatherton, the Nicholas Brothers, and Margaret McCrae; 1936 Olympians Jesse Owens, Don Lash, John Woodruff, Glenn Cunningham, Ralph Metcalfe (signed twice), Fritz Pollard, Jr., Archie Williams, David Albritton, John Brooks, Earle Meadows, Billy Brown, Marty Glickman, Helen Stephens, and Betty Robinson; and baseball players Johnny Vergez, Ethan Allen, Al Todd, Bubber Jonnard, Buck Walters, Van Mungo, and Earl Grace. In very good condition, with wrinkling and light toning to some of the pages, and creasing and scuffing to the front and back covers. According to the consignor, these signatures were originally obtained in New York City.
