<B>Authors Christopher Morley and Felix Morley Signatures</B></I> on cards, 5.5" x 2.5", both mounted on stiff card stock with a brief biographical sketch, "<I>Best wishes & forgive brevity. Hard at work - yours, Christopher Morley</B></I>" and Felix Morley included a short poem. Christopher Morley (1890-1957) was an American journalist, novelist, and poet. He was one of the founders and long-time staff member of the <I>Saturday Review of Literature.</B></I> A highly gregarious man, he was the mainstay of what he dubbed the "Three Hours for Lunch Club". Out of enthusiasm for the Sherlock Holmes stories, he became the founder of the Baker Street Irregulars and wrote the introduction to the standard omnibus edition of <I>The Complete Sherlock Holmes.</B></I> In 1936 he was appointed to revise and enlarge <I>Bartlett's Familiar Quotations.</B></I> He was the author of more than 50 books of poetry and novels; and, Felix Morley (1894-1982), brother of Christopher Morley, was editor of the <I>Washington Post,</B></I> won a Pulitzer Prize, and was president of Haverford College.
